What is an indoor satellite repeater?

An indoor satellite repeater extends Iridium, Thuraya or Inmarsat coverage into locations where handheld devices cannot obtain a clear sky view. It relays the satellite signal from an outdoor donor antenna to indoor service antennas.

Where can a satellite repeater be used?

Repeaters are ideal for bunkers, hangars, tunnels, mines, secure facilities, ships, oil rigs, remote sites and any environment with obstructed sky visibility.

Which satellite networks do you support?

DXCOMM provides repeater systems for Iridium, Thuraya, and Inmarsat, including GPS and messaging‑capable configurations.

Do your repeaters support SOS and emergency signalling?

Yes. Our Iridium repeater systems maintain full SOS, emergency alerting and PLI (Position Location Information) functionality indoors.

What is RF‑over‑fibre and why is it used?

RF‑over‑fibre allows satellite signals to be carried over long distances with minimal loss, enabling repeater installations in large facilities, multi‑level structures and extended underground environments.

Do you offer remote monitoring?

Yes. Our IoT monitoring platform provides real‑time status, fault alerts and performance data for installed repeater systems.

Is the equipment designed and manufactured in the UK?

All DXCOMM repeater hardware, including the DX1 Iridium repeater, is designed and manufactured in the UK to professional engineering standards.

Do you supply complete installation kits?
